This week I focused on "old media" and its historical, technical and conceptual relationship with "new media". This was a cursory overview (at best) - for a more detailed discussion The Language of New Media by Lev Manovich (2001) is a good start (Manovich cites Man With A Movie Camera (Dziga Vertov 1929) as seminal in the history of cinema). As usual I ran out of time screening work at the seminar: other projects not screened are listed below:
